Movie Recommendations For Today: October 31st, 2020

Every day we put together a list of three movies that we think you may enjoy. Here are our three for today.

Happy Saturday, folks! The Halloween season is upon us. From today till October 31st, our daily recommendations will be all about monsters, witches, ghouls, ghosts, and everything else of the sort. We will be featuring movies that are sure to give you a fright, or at least a tease. The selections are based on reviews, personal viewing, and relevance. Some you may have seen already, and some may not be your cup of tea, but we hope that at least one of these catches your eye. Without any further ado, let's get right into it.

Pet Sematary (2019)


The first film on our list is the 2019 supernatural horror 'Pet Sematary.' The plot reads: 

Dr Louis Creed and his family lose their pet cat in an accident and bury it in a nearby cemetery. However, this unleashes a darkness that soon haunts the Creeds in terrifying ways.

Kevin K├Âlsch and Dennis Widmyer directed the film, and it stars Jason Clarke, Amy Seimetz, and John Lithgow.

Event Horizon (1997)


The second film on our list is the 1997 science fiction horror 'Event Horizon.' The plot reads:

A team of astronauts is sent to investigate a lost spacecraft which disappeared on its maiden voyage and has now returned.

Paul W. S. Anderson directed the film, and it stars Laurence Fishburne, Sam Neill, Kathleen Quinlan, and Joely Richardson.

Warm Bodies (2013)


The third film on our list is the 2013 paranormal romantic zombie comedy 'Warm Bodies.' The plot reads:

At a scavenger party, R, a zombie, meets Julie and feels strangely protective of her. As he begins to regain his human tendencies, their love is threatened by the very difference of their existence.

Jonathan Levine directed the film, and it stars Nicholas Hoult, Teresa Palmer, Rob Corddry, Dave Franco, Analeigh Tipton, Cory Hardrict, and John Malkovich.
