Every day we recommend three movies that we think you might like. Here are our three for today.
Happy Thursday folks! Every day we compile a list of three movies that we think you might like. The selections are based on reviews, personal viewing, and relevance. Some of the films you may have seen already and some may not be your cup of tea but we hope that at least once catches your eye. So, without any further ado, let's get right into it, shall we?
If you were to ask what were the scariest movies of the year 2016, The Autopsy of Jane Doe will most definitely be on the list. The film follows two coroners who begin experiencing supernatural events while examining the body of an unidentified woman. The film was directed by André Øvredal and stars Emile Hirsch, Brian Cox, and Olwen Kelly.
The second film on our list comes a year later and it's the kind of action film to keep you on your toes. Revenge follows a woman who is assaulted and left for dead in the desert by three men. She happens to survive and when she recovers she sets out to take revenge on her attackers. The film was directed by Coralie Fargeat and stars Matilda Lutz, Kevin Janssens, Vincent Colombe, and Guillaume Bouchède.
This is one of those films that leaves you feeling connected to the characters long after it ends. It's touching, beautiful, and a must-watch. The Cider House Rules follows a young man who is raised in an orphanage and trained to be a doctor. He one day decides to leave and we get to follow his adventures. It was directed by Lasse Hallström and stars Tobey Maguire, Charlize Theron, Delroy Lindo, Paul Rudd, Michael Caine, Jane Alexander, Kathy Baker, Kieran Culkin, Heavy D, Kate Nelligan, and Erykah Badu.
