Every day we recommend three movies that we think you might like. Here are our three for today.
Happy Tuesday folks! Every day we compile a list of three movies that we think you might like. The selections are based on reviews, personal viewing, and relevance. Some of the films you may have seen already and some may not be your cup of tea but we hope that at least once catches your eye. So, without any further ado, let's get right into it, shall we?
I remember when this one hit theaters as though it was yesterday. The film follows a group of celebrities in the midst of a global biblical apocalypse. The cast of the film is packed with many well-knowns which include James Franco, Jonah Hill, Rogen, Jay Baruchel, Danny McBride, and Craig Robinson. It was directed and co-produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.
The second film on our list is the Netflix adaptation of the classic Stephen King horror-thriller Gerald's Game. The film follows a married couple who visit an isolated home for a holiday. The husband then suddenly dies of a heart attack while the wife is left handcuffed to the bed. Without a key, she must find a way to escape the cuffs while battling her inner demons. The film was directed by Mike Flanagan and stars Carla Gugino and Bruce Greenwood.
The last film on our list is the American romantic-comedy The Big Sick. The film follows the relationship of an interethnic couple, Kumail Nanjiani and Emily Gardner. When Emily contracts a mysterious illness Kumail must deal with her feisty parents as their cultures clash. The film was directed by Michael Showalter and stars Kumail Nanjiani, Zoe Kazan, Holly Hunter, Ray Romano, Adeel Akhtar, and Anupam Kher.
