Movie Recommendations For Today: June 17th, 2020

Every day we put together a list of three movies that we think you may enjoy. Here are our three for today.

Happy Wednesday folks! Today, like every day, we have put together a list of three movies that we think you'll enjoy. The selections are based on reviews, relevance, and personal viewing.  Some, you may have seen already, and some may not be your cup of tea but we hope that at least one of these catches your eye. Let's get right into it.

Blood Punch (2014)

This 2014 film may have been missed by a lot of you but I highly recommend giving it a watch. It follows a young man who finds himself in a dangerous love triangle that takes a vicious supernatural turn. It was directed by Madellaine Paxson in directorial debut and stars Milo Cawthorne, Olivia Tennet, and Ari Boyland.

Den of Thieves (2018)

This one was mixed amongst critics but I'm one of the critics who absolutely loved this one. It follows an elite group of gangster cops attempting to stop a gang of thieves from robbing the Federal Reserve in Los Angeles. It was directed by Christian Gudegast and stars Gerard Butler, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, Pablo Schreiber, O'Shea Jackson Jr., Evan Jones, Dawn Olivieri, Mo McRae, and Max Holloway.

Phantom Thread (2017)

The last film on our list is a romantic tale that many may have seen previews of and decided to skip it. It's a fact that some films are way better than they look and Phantom Thread is one such film. It follows a renowned dressmaker whose perfect life becomes disrupted by a strong-willed woman named Alma, who becomes his muse and lover.  It was directed by Paul Thomas Anderson and stars Daniel Day-Lewis, Lesley Manville, and Vicky Krieps.
