Évolution is a 2015 French horror-film that follows a young boy who lives in a sea-side town predominately populated by women and boys. He is subjected to a medical procedure, but his whole life changes when he discovers the secret of what the women do on the beach at night. Lucile Hadžihalilović directed the film, and it stars Max Brebant, Roxane Duran, and Julie-Marie Parmentier.
This 2016 biographical war film follows World War II American Army Medic Desmond T. Doss, who refuses to kill people and becomes the first man in American history to receive the Medal of Honor without firing a shot. Mel Gibson directed the film, and it stars Andrew Garfield, Sam Worthington, Luke Bracey, Teresa Palmer, Hugo Weaving, Rachel Griffiths, and Vince Vaughn.
The last film on our list is the 2019 action-comedy 'First Love.' It follows a young boxer and a call-girl who both find themselves tied up in a drug-smuggling scheme during one-night in Tokyo. Takashi Miike directed the film, and it stars Masataka Kubota, Nao Omori, Shota Sometani, Sakurako Konishi, Becky, and Takahiro Miura.
