Melania Trump’s “body-double” conspiracy has returned when people noticed something odd about her appearance while traveling abroad with the president.
An X user posted Melania and Donald Trump online on April 25 in an attempt to find out what people could see when they saw the married pair cross lawn and board a chopper.
Some continued by praising their appearance or their apparent happiness, while others raised an old conspiracy theory that had its origins shortly before her husband was elected.
The “body double” theory, in case you are unaware, claims that a stand-in was employed to play the part of Melania.
The first time she is thought to have been used was just hours before Trump was officially announced as the next president-elect of the United States.
Fans think the 54-year-old would never be found wearing the precise dress she donned when she cast her ballot in West Palm Beach, Florida.
With his victory in Wisconsin pushing him over 270 votes, and his wife casting her own, Trump won the election on November 6.
However, the theory began when they noticed Melania’s sunglasses, which they claimed she had been “wearing inside all day.”
One person wrote online: “This is absolutely, categorically not Melania. This imposter’s been wearing sunglasses indoors all day.”
Someone else asked: “Am I crazy, or is that a fake Melania standing next to him?”
Someone else added: “Donnie couldn’t find Melania today so he brought fake Melania.”
Although the rumor has been around for a while, it has been revived when Melania was spotted wearing an apparently “off-the-rack” coat and flat shoes.
Call to Activism on X posted the video with the caption: “What do you notice about the way Trump and Melania just walked to the helicopter today?”
People started to express their conviction that Melania was a fraud at that point.
One person shared: “Melania never wears flat shoes either…I’m betting that this is the fake body double Melania because the real Melania did not want to have to go and stay with Trump overseas for the entire trip…”
Someone else commented: “Fake Melania.”
“I don’t notice how they walked to the helicopter, but from the back, that is not Melania or DJT, IMO,” another person remarked. Melania wouldn’t wear an off-the-rack coat.”
Some even claimed that Melania was replaced by a body double at the funeral for Pope Francis, indicating that she wasn’t really there.
The First-Lady was wearing a black veil over her face, and so it could have been anyone.
Her actions at the funeral, however, appear to be consistent with her character.
While at the Vatican City, Trump apparently made a ‘seven-word comment’ to his wife, and Melania then apparently made an alleged suggestion to her husband regarding his etiquette not too long afterwords.
