Rumors say that showrunners are struggling to settle a deal where they would donate millions of dollars to charitable causes in exchange for the Duchess appearing in one episode.
Wouldn't it be amazing to see the Duchess of Sussex in the 'Suits' final season? The world knows that with great power comes great responsibilities, and now that Duchess of Sussex is no longer Rachel Zane of 'Suits', it might be a little too much to expect her to come back in the show.
This is considering the fact that she has charities to take care of, and a baby in the making. However, fans would be glad to know that USA legal drama's creator Aaron Korsh isn't ready to abandon the good thought yet, reported, BUSTLE.
However, since Suits is coming to an end after its upcoming Season 9, Meghan's return would be a treat for the viewers to see her one last time as an actress who was a part of the series for 7 seasons between 2011 and 2018.
In an interview with Deadline, Korsh revealed that he is not sure about who will make a return to the finale of the series. He said, "As of this minute I don’t know which of our old original cast will be back and which won’t because we’re so early in the season."
The fact that he didn't directly shun the idea of Meghan's coming to the show, might give hopes to fans for a while, till the time things aren't confirmed. The last time fans saw Meghan in the show was when she just got married to Mike (Patrick J. Adams) and moved to Seattle for work.
It was just before her royal wedding to Prince Harry. Ever since Meghan married Prince Harry, she authentically became a part of the British Royal family.
However, there were rumors in UK tabloids about NBC Universal struggling to settle a deal where they would donate millions of dollars to charitable causes in exchange for the Duchess agreeing to appear in one episode.
Fancy, huh? However, Korch laughed off the notion and said, "I can tell you that those things in the papers, I have no idea what they’re talking about. I have not arranged for millions of dollars to be donated to anything on behalf of anyone so that I can tell you, but as far as the original people coming back including [Gina Torres], we’re so early in the season that we haven’t formulated what we want to do, so we can’t reach out to people before we know what we want to do."
The ending of the series may have something to do with unpredictable circumstances. Korsh called it, "You can never know that one of your stars is going to marry the Prince of England, and Patrick decided not to return, so we had a choice whether to keep going after season 7. We decided that the original plan was a 16-episode season 8 and a 10-episode season 9, let’s see if we can do that. And dovetailing with that, Katherine Heigl called and she wanted to be involved in the show, and we thought it was a perfect way to help extend the franchise and make it to that end of season 9."
Heigl plays the role of Samantha Wheeler in 'Suits' who is a lawyer.
Could Meghan Markle return to Suits? https://t.co/bzDdW7O5q5— Evening Standard Insider (@StandardInsider) January 19, 2019
Although, even after Meghan had to leave the show and venture onto the Royal journey, she made sure to be in touch with co-stars including Adams, Torres as well as Sarah Rafferty and Gabriel Macht, as they were all present at Meghan's royal wedding.
Therefore, if at all she returns to the show, everything will have to speed up. However, it was reported that since Meghan left the show, she hasn't been watching or keeping in touch with where the story went after she had quit.
Talking about how the series will end, Korsh made sure not to keep the bubble wrap on and expect a happily ever after. He said, "We have over the course of the years a lot of characters that we care about and love. And yet rarely if ever have we done a full-on happy ending for all of them or a full-on sad ending for all of them, it’s just not common to do in the lexicon of Suits. Oftentimes we give with one hand, take away with another or have a bittersweet ending. That’s just often how it goes."
Even though Meghan is no longer a part of her acting career, she definitely has a family to hold on to. In August, Wendell Pierce, who played the role of Rachel's dad, Robert Zane shared about a sweet conversation she had with his onscreen daughter.
He said, "I said to her, 'Your life is going to change. It's going to be amazing and I'm very happy for you but I want you to know that I'm your friend, and no matter where you are or what's going on — if the fishbowl that you're in ever starts getting to you can call me."
This conversation surely means that although Markle is now the Duchess of Sussex, she will always have her TV family for support.
Talking about having a 'Suits' spin-off, Korsh said, "We’re not setting up a spinoff, that has not been discussed. If at some point in the future we wanted to just do one, we’d probably end up just doing one." However, he did not completely deny the idea of 'Suits' spin-off. He added, "We just never pursued that idea anymore once we did the Pearson spinoff. But as I contemplate what I’m going to do after Suits, you never know."
Meghan Markle, who is expecting a royal baby has been keeping very busy. The world just cannot wait for the baby to be born. The Duchess of Sussex has been spotted looking gorgeous in everything she wears. People say that it is the pregnancy glow which is showing off beautifully.
