Who is Kahhori?

Kahhori is characterized as a Mohawk Nation young woman whose name means "she stirs the forest." Marvel explained that her What If...? episode is based on a tale in which the Tesseract crashes to Earth in the autonomous Haudenosaunee Confederacy before the invasion of America. Thanks to the Tesseract's abilities, Kahhori will go on a voyage to explore the stars. The Tesseract takes on a new life and new mythology, transforming a lake into a gateway to the stars and leading Kahhori, a young Mohawk woman, on a quest to discover her power according to Marvel.

What’s the next move?

Rather than combining multiple comic characters or significantly redesigning them for the MCU, Marvel may now be ready to keep producing new superheroes who will then have tales in the comic world. Although the first season saw T'Challa transform into Star-Lord and Peggy Carter become Captain Carter, the current season appears to have even more flexibility to explore the multiverse. What if...? season 2's introduction of Kahhori as the MCU's first original hero in season 2 indicates that this does not have to be the only method Marvel Studios develops the series. It's possible that Kahhori may appear in future MCU productions, potentially even in live-action at some time.
