The Creator Of Deadpool Confirms That A Third Movie Is Definitely On!

Deadpool has become one of our favorite superheroes and the creator has announced that a third movie is clearly on the cards.

If Rob Liefeld gets his way, a third 'Deadpool' movie is definitely happening from Marvel Studios. Not only that, but he also said it will happen sooner or later. The comic writer took it to social media earlier today from an impromptu Q&A session with fans and responded to one die-hard fan confirmed that a third movie is definitely happening. He tweeted, saying, "It will totally happen!!!" Liefeld tweeted. "Soon!"

The future of the franchise has remained undecided since the Fox and Disney merger and it allowed the live-action film and television rights to all X-Men characters to revert back to Marvel Studios. Disney chief Bob Iger and Marvel President Kevin Feige have both said they'd entertain R-rated movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it has yet to be seen how or when the adult movies will be coming.

But, this is not the first time Liefeld has expressed his strong opinion on this subject and earlier this year he had promised that the third movie is definitely happening. He said, "Nothing like deadlines to clear your head. Let me be clear Deadpool 3 will happen, some form, some fashion. That's not a concern to me. Disney paid $60 billion for Fox and Deadpool is the most valuable asset in today's market. Makes more than X-Men films."

Ryan Reynolds while speaking to EW said, "I really genuinely don’t know a thing about it. I read that [CEO and chairman] Bob Iger felt that there’s plenty of room in that universe to have a rated-R character like Deadpool. This is completely conjectured on my part, but I wouldn’t imagine that Disney bought Fox to dismantle it or something like that. I think that Disney bought Fox so it could have that in its arsenal.”

But, it also needs to be kept in mind that it is still not clear if Marvel Studios is going to have Reynolds reprise his role as the Merc with a Mouth. But, Feige previously said that if Deadpool is working and not broken, they had no plans on trying to fix it.
