Marvel Reportedly Made Another Offer To John Krasinski and Emily Blunt To Star In 'Fantastic Four'

'Fantastic Four' is officially in development, and Marvel reportedly wants the power couple to star as Reed Richards and Sue Storm in the upcoming movie.

Marvel continues to tease 'Fantastic Four,' but the film is still in the very early stages of development and hasn't even announced who will be on the cast list yet.

Fans have always rallied to see John Krasinski and Emily Blunt play Reed Richards and Sue Storm in the upcoming project, but their casting isn't confirmed as of the moment.

It looks like Marvel is just as intent on bringing the duo into the project as much as fans do.

Insider Mike Sutton revealed that Marvel made "another offer" to Krasinski and Emily Blunt to play the coveted roles.

Upcoming Fantastic-Four film.

“Marvel Studios apparently made another offer for both actors. There’s been no word if it was also rejected.” Sutton said via WeGotThisCovered.

If the report is accurate, this means that Marvel has already tried to approach Krasinski and Blunt at some point but was turned down. Trying to get them on board again means that Marvel thinks they should be an excellent casting for the role.

Back in 2020, Krasinski already said that he would love to be part of the MCU. So, perhaps, both parties are still hammering the terms and conditions.

“I would love to do it. I think to be a part of the Marvel world would be amazing anyway, and the fact that people would even consider me for that level of a part would be amazing. I genuinely have had no conversations or don’t know anything that’s happening with that. I’m awaiting Kevin’s announcements of what the hell’s happening with that as much as you are,” the 40-year-old actor said via Hype.

There is no doubt that the pair will be perfect to portray Reed Richards and Sue Storm. They both look the part, and they've both proved they're capable of executing action sequences based on their previous films.

The real-life husband and wife first teamed up on-screen on the 2018 post-apocalyptic horror film, 'A Quiet Place,' where they played the role of a married couple trying to keep their kids safe in a world riddled by monsters with an acute sense of hearing.

Sure, they didn't have the superpowers in the horror flick, but you get our point.

Emily Blunt and John Krasinski  imagined for 'Fantastic Four'

'Fantastic Four' will chronicle the lives of the iconic Marvel superhero family led by husband and wife Dr. Reed Richards / Mr. Fantastic and Susan Storm / Invisible Woman. The roles were played by Ioan Gruffudd and Jessica Alba in the 2005 film.

In 2020, Marvel Boss Kevin Feige revealed that a new 'Fantastic Four' film is in development after Disney regained the rights to the characters, along with the X-Men, after it acquired the 20th Century Fox.

"I'm happy to announce a film about one of the truly iconic Marvel families - in fact, Marvel's first family: the Fantastic Four. We're working on a feature now, and it will be directed by the director of our recent Spider-Man films, Jon Watts," Feige said following the announcement.

Marvel recently teased 'Fantastic Four' again in their recent announcement video, although there is still no release date revealed for the film yet.
