The Marvel TV shows on Netflix are moving out of the streaming site. Shows like Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Punisher, and The Defenders will only be available until March 1. The titles released between 2015 and 2019, were made before Disney's deal with Marvel to create content in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As per CNBC, Netflix’s license of the content has ended and rights have reverted back to Disney. What will happen to this content is unclear, at least in most parts of the world since other Marvel content is available on Hulu as well.

In Canada however, these titles will be made available to stream on Disney+. The move of the Netflix titles will only take a few weeks. Starting March 16, the shows can be streamed on Disney+. As for America and other countries, there has been no indication as to when or even if the shows will be available on the Disney streaming service. Chances are they will be made available considering the move is long overdue. Netflix even canceled all its Marvel projects in 2019, reported Collider. This was just before the launch of Dinsey+.

People have expressed concern about the explicit nature of some of the shows that will be available on Disney+ that usually comprises family-friendly content. Cheo Hodari Coker, showrunner of Luke Cage, has also expressed concern. "Rewatching Luke Cage while I can on Netflix. They're going to do what they do. It's theirs. I just hope they don't sit on it for years to allow for an easier reboot or re-air it with a different mix, or the N-Word muted. I'd love to do commentary tracks or the original credits," he shared on Twitter. Luke Cage, like Jessica Jones, and Daredevil are characters that have been a small part of the MCU so far.

A new Marvel show is also making its way to Disney+. Moon Knight, based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, will also be premiering on the streaming service on March 30. The miniseries stars Oscar Isaac stars as Marc Spector aka Moon Knight who becomes the conduit for the Egyptian moon god Khonshu, a mercenary who suffers from a dissociative identity disorder. He will be joined by Ethan Hawke as Arthur Harrow and May Calamawy as Layla El-Faouly. The show was created by Jeremy Slater.
