Raymond Chandler's created character, Detective Philip Marlowe is set to return very soon.
It's been forty-four years since a feature film was made about Raymond Chandler's character, a hard-boiled detective Philip Marlowe. It feels like forever since we saw the ever-brooding detective. Directed by Neil Jordan and written by William Monahan, the film is based on a 2014 novel The Black-Eyed Blonde by John Banville, written under the pen name Benjamin Black. The film stars Liam Neeson and Diane Kruger and many others. Here is everything we know so far about the upcoming neo-noir thriller, Marlowe.

Marlowe saw a low-key premiere at the 70th San Sebastian International Film Festival. It is now scheduled to be released in theaters in the United States on December 2, 2022.
Not much is known about the plot, but it's known to be set in the late 1930s Bay city. A brooding, down-on-his-luck detective is hired to find the ex-lover of a glamorous heiress. The film is actor Liam Neeson's 100th film, and the movie is brought to us by Open Road Films. Chandler's plots were designed to be neatly uncovered; the best of the lots are so immersive. He sells them with so much conviction that every reader is drawn to his character. We look forward to watching his character come to life almost after half a century.
