According to sources, Margot Robbie is eyeing a role in Marvel's upcoming X-Men projects.
Margot Robbie has taken ownership of Harley Quinn ever she took up the role in the live-action Suicide Squad film. At this point, it's impossible to see anyone else playing the role. Despite Harley Quinn being somewhat of a villain, viewers have grown to love her and root for her cause.
Now, with The Suicide Squad film now done and dusted, what's next for Margot Robbie?
According to reports from Giant Freakin Robot, Margot Robbie wants to join Marvel's X-Men. She is a big fan of the X-Men series and is eyeing a role in the squad in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Details about any upcoming X-Men projects by Marvel are currently very limited. Margot Robbie's alleged plea to join the X-Men has not yet been confirmed by Robbie or Marvel. The site claims to have acquired the information from their inside sources. It states that the idea of bringing Robbie on is currently being discussed by Marvel execs.
If Margot Robbie wants to join the X-Men it's difficult to see how Kevin Feige could say no to that proposal. Everyone loves Margot Robbie. And seeing the Australian actress parading as Mystique or Rogue or even Jean Grey will be a sight for sore eyes.
The last time we saw Robbie was in the 2021 DCEU flick The Suicide Squad. The film grossed an impressive $746 million worldwide. Given the pandemic, this is a solid haul.
The next time we'll see Robbie is in the 2022 period drama Babylon. Robbie will be acting alongside Brad Pitt, Tobey Maquire, and Olivia Wilde and it is scheduled to be released on December 25, 2022.
