'Lupin' Part 2 Trailer Sees Assane Diop On The Run

The French professional thief must find a way to rescue his son and remain invisible from the eyes of everyone. 'Lupin' Part 2 is coming to Netflix in June.

'Lupin' Part 2

Netflix finally drops the trailer for 'Lupin' Part 2 and the action-packed sequences are honestly breathtaking.

'Lupin' is a French heist thriller that follows Assane Diop (Omar Sy), a man who's inspired by the adventures of fictional gentleman thief Arsène Lupin. He is on a quest to exact revenge on the wealthy Pellegrini family, who framed his father for a crime he did not commit. Using his charm, mastery of thievery infused with a handful of magical illusions, Assane works to expose the lies and the crimes of the Pellegrini family.

The first part of the series only released five episodes when it premiered on January 8, 2021, and left us with a cliffhanger.

The good thing is we don't have to wait for another year to find out what's going to happen to the professional thief we have come to love.

'Lupin' Part 2

'Lupin' part 2 is coming to Netflix on June 11, and the official trailer has teased all the exciting details we need to know about the remaining half of the show.

The official trailer shows Assane Diop trying to evade getting caught by the police and the evil Hubert Pellegrini.

The police have already identified Assane's identity, thanks to Detective Youssef Guedira, the only officer who managed to piece together all the clues leading to Assane's identity.

Pellegrini has kidnapped Assane's son, Raoul by the end of part 1 and Assane is intent on making the powerful man pay for all the atrocities he committed to his family.

Pellegrini may have successfully imprisoned Assane's father in the past by framing and accusing him of stealing the queen's necklace. However, Assane will not allow the greedy old man to incarcerate him too.
Assane is determined to use all his skills to stay invisible from Pellegrini's eyes, while he plots a way to rescue his son and exact revenge for his father.

The trailer also reveals Assane trying to contact Detective Youssef Guedira as part of his "new plan." Guidera was the only detective who was able to track and identify Assane based on his knowledge of the Arsene Lupin books.

It is not clear whether the two will eventually become allies or if Assane is only trying to reach out to him as part of his bigger scheme of exposing the true and evil nature of Pellegrini.

One thing is certain, Pellegrini is prepared to use everything in his power to stop Assane. He is orchestrating a plan to lure the thief in and destroy him, just like he did to his father.

'Lupin' is among the biggest releases of Netflix this year. The first part was estimated to have been viewed by 70 million households during its first 28 days on the platform. The series currently holds the top spot for the most-viewed show on Netflix across multiple countries.

To give you an idea of the show's massive success, other Netflix hits like 'Bridgerton' only recorded 62 million views in the same period.
