"If you fail to choose, the world will perish", the trailer just dropped and the world can't seem to get enough!
The movie that was announced last October in a tweet by legendary director M.Night Shyamalan is nearing its theatrical release. The film Knock at the Cabin is based on a 2018 novel by writer Paul G Tremblay called The Cabin at The End of the World. We have already scoured the internet and covered everything related to the movie, right from its cast, premise, and release date, check it out. The new trailer dropped this Christmas day, bringing a new look at the apocalyptic story. The movie screams Shaymalan and the big mysterious and terrifying event happening during the course of the movie most probably has a supernatural angle to it. Shyamalan previously said, "I will tell you this: strangely, it was the fastest script I've ever written. Signs would have had that title prior to Knock at the Cabin. I probably think, in terms of both of them, that they have this movement, this event, that causes me to write it really fast. Hopefully, audiences will feel that when they come to see it. It is definitely in the wheelhouse of the things you're seeing from me now, especially with [Apple TV+ series] Servant, this contained and gigantic event that's occurring."
In the new trailer, we see the girl once again, and she runs to warn her parents, who quickly take her in and lock the cabin. Then we hear the knock, and an intense background score is heard. We hear the sentence, "They are breaking in," along with the window shattering. A fight breaks out, and the screen blacks out. We see the outside view of the cabin, and then we hear Dave Bautista's voice, saying, "We're not going to hurt you, but we need you to stay inside the cabin with us. Then he says that their family must choose to willingly sacrifice one of the three of them to prevent the apocalypse. Then we see the father shout, "we are not sacrificing anyone!" Dave's character replies, "with every no you give us, hundreds of thousands of people die. They see it on TV soon, that it's really happening!"
The official synopsis of the movie reads,
"While vacationing at a remote cabin, a young girl and her parents are taken hostage by four armed strangers who demand that the family make an unthinkable choice to avert the apocalypse. With limited access to the outside world, the family must decide what they believe before all is lost."
