The Kissing Booth became a huge hit when it first landed on Netflix. Since then, the streamer gave the go-ahead to two more movies making a very popular rom-com trilogy. The third movie saw Elle decide her life's path with a move that we did not see coming, i.e. to not go to Harvard with Noah or Berkeley and, of course, Lee. Instead, she decided to stay back and study at USC. The third movie had an ending that was open to interpretation. So fans have been wondering if they could continue the story and pick right from where they left off.

Could The Kissing Booth 4 really Happen?

So, Netflix hasn't confirmed anything yet. Also, let's keep in mind that the last movie marketed itself as a conclusion to the three-part series. The series could also be revived in an indirect way that is, of course, a spin-off. The cast of the movie series has mentioned time and again that it was the very last time they were playing these characters. "It's very emotional to say goodbye to a character you've been playing for this many years, and also playing this character through such important moments in my life," King told The Nerds of Colour. Other cast members have also talked about the moments they are going to cherish, hinting that the series has come to an end. "I think I'd like to see them all in a nursing home together. That'd be cool. That'd be quite interesting. Maybe it's like the film is a series of monologues of them recounting everything that happened from 20 to 92," he told Entertainment Tonight.

However, the biggest hint came from the author of the book, Beth Reekles, who wrote on her website, "When I finished the edits on The Kissing Booth 3: One Last Time, and when I watched the third movie for the first time a couple of weeks ago, I sobbed my heart out. I felt like I was grieving – and I was,"

"This is all ten years in the making, ten years of Elle and Lee and Noah, and now… Now, it’s all come to an end... It's the end of an era."

To be honest, we don't think that there is going to be another movie in this franchise; the biggest reason is that all the people who were associated with the franchise seem to be caught up with other projects at the moment. Jacob Elordi plays a very important role in Euphoria, and Joel Courtney recently joined the cast of the movie Pinball: The Man Who Saved the Game. With the romance season approaching, you might want to catch the trilogy only on Netflix.
