Johnny Test is being rebooted by Netflix and the series is set to release in mid-July 2021.

Johnny Test

Johnny Test is making a massive comeback in a Netflix reboot, and can I get Ay Yoo!!

Johnny Test finds a new home on Netflix in a new and revamped way. It will be in a cleaner and higher resolution format with 4K available.

The streaming giant has already ordered two seasons of the hit cartoon. There will likely be 20 episodes in each season, with each episode being around 11 minutes in length.

Netflix also reported that an interactive special of Johnny Test is also in the works.

Scott Fellows, the showrunner of the original series, will be returning as showrunner in the reboot with WildBrain, the studio behind the series.

Netflix released a first look trailer on June 18th, and it gives us an idea of the look of the show. Our favourite characters are back and seem almost the same, just sharper.

The caption below the trailer reads:

How much trouble could one imaginative boy, his faithful dog and two science-loving sisters possibly get into? Hmm, that sounds like a challenge!

Johnny Test premiered on Kids' WB on September 17, 2005. The station aired its second and third seasons before the rest of it aired on Cartoon Network starting on January 7, 2008. The series follows an 11-year-old boy named Johnny Test who lives with his parents, super genius sisters and his best friend talking dog Dukey. Johnny is often used as a test subject for his sisters' experiments which usually leads to problems he has to solve....and occasionally, save the world.

If you're a fan of the series, then you can watch the original episodes on Netflix, which started streaming in 2014, with season 6 added in April 2015.

Are you looking forward to seeing what trouble Johnny Test gets himself into in this reboot?
