Johnny Depp is set to appear in court again on July 25th for attacking someone on set.

Johnny Depp isn't home free just yet. The Pirates of the Caribbean star only just recently got "his life back" after winning the defamation case against his ex-wife Amber Heard.

After the win, Depp managed to land a primetime commercial spot with Dior Sauvage as well as a few movie roles.

But, Depp is now heading back to court amid claims that he assaulted a crew member on a movie set in 2017.

Newsweek reports:

Gregg “Rocky” Brooks—who worked as a location manager on Depp’s film City of Lies, about the murder of rapper The Notorious B.I.G.—has accused the actor of punching him in the chest during a dispute on the Los Angeles set in April 2017.

Brooks had alleged that Depp “reeked of alcohol” and continuously punched him. However, crew members who witnessed the situation had claimed that the fight did not go on beyond verbal attacks.

“They had a little moment, there weren’t punches, there wasn’t anything, just were in each others’ face for a second,” script supervisor Emma Danoff told The Daily Beast. “We shot for maybe another hour-and-a-half after that, we went inside.

“We finished and the locations guy came up to Johnny and they hugged and it was all cute and that was it.”

Gregg 'Rocky' Brooks will sue him civilly for hitting him on the set of City of Lies.

Brooks' lawyer, Pat Harris, recently told The Sun:

"The Brooks case is not about two Hollywood celebrities involved in a toxic relationship, it is about the assault on a hard-working film crew member by the star of the production. Mr. Brooks is looking forward to his day in court."

Depp will testify in Los Angeles Superior Court on July 25th, 2022 with lawyers Benjamin Chew and Camille Vasquez at his side.
