Johnny Depp Fans Speculate If He Is Dating His Star Attorney, Camille Vasquez

The Johnny Depp — Amber Heard defamation case has attracted a lot of attention. Fans have been tuning into the court proceedings that is being live-streamed online, to dissect the details of the case from the comfort of their homes. Many people have been sharing their views on the matter and pointing out the finer details of court proceedings that actually has nothing to do with the case at all. 

While body language of the plaintiff and defendant are very important in court, it's not surprising that people have been watching Depp and Heard with hawkeyes. In the process they made a surprising discovery. 

Many fans who have seen Depp interacting with his team of attorneys including Camille Vasquez, Ben Chew, Stephanie Calnan, Mr , Rebecca MacDowell Lecaroz, Yarelyn Mena, Jessica Meyers and Samuel Moniz have noticed them share a friend-like relationship. Vasquez has especially been gaining a lot of attention online for being brutal with her cross examination. So much so that people are waiting outside the courtroom to meet and greet her. But she has also been gaining attention for another reason. Many fans on social media assume that the lawyer is in a relationship with her client.  

The rumors are being fueled by TikTok videos showing the pair exchanging hugs, meaningful glances, and even subtle hand touching during the proceedings. People are sure that the two of them must be dating secretly. Depp fans have gone overboard in their admiration for the attorney, portraying her as a superhero, the 58-year-old actor's White Knight come to rescue him from misfortune. They ship the two of them and are hoping they end up together. Vasquez for her part has been managing to turn the case and Heard's tesimonies around to Depp's benefit. Even though sometimes it has been in the form of leading questions.

To all the distracted and curious minds wondering if Depp and Vasquez are an item, there is some disappointing news. Vasquez laughed off fan speculation that she is dating the Pirates of the Caribbean star. Sources have revealed that “everyone on the legal team is buttoned up, but they’ve all gotten very close to their client — it’s become both a professional relationship and a friendship.” They also shared that the 37-year-old attorney finds Depp funny and often laughs at his jokes. Morever, she is apparently dating a British man in real estate currently.

While this unlikely relationship is garnering attention, it is best not forget that there is multi-million dollar defamation case in progress at the Fairfax County court in Virginia. Depp is suing his ex-wife for publishing an op-ed in The Washington Post in which she did not even mention him by his name. The trial began on April 11, 2022.
