Will Ntombi continue dancing her way to success?
'Jiva!' is A Netflix African series that follows an incredible female dancer named Ntombi. Ntombi has big dreams. However, living in a small community made it hard for her to achieve her big goals and aspirations. Ntombi is living in poverty, stuck with family responsibilities and a job that pays so low. Her circumstances gave her motivation to pursue dancing and make it big to climb out of poverty. Ntombi wastes no time and takes part in the Jiva Loxion Dance Competition along with her teenage friends. They called their group "The Trollies".
After watching all of its first seasons on Netflix, Fans have been yearning for a season 2. If that's the case, here's everything we know about 'Jiva!' Season 2 so far.
Netflix released 'Jiva!' season 1 on June 24, 2021. The season consists of five episodes, and each of the episodes was 40-50 minutes long. Noxolo Dlamini portrayed Ntombi, the lead character in the show, which made it very entertaining and exciting. Busisiwe Ntintili is the creator and the showrunner of the series. Busisiwe is very famous in the entertainment industry and has been a professional writer for over 30 years.
Talking about things that may happen in the future for the series, here's what we have found. Currently, Netflix has not revealed any information about the show's possible comeback. But, given the fact that there have been various foreign shows on Netflix may be a big hint that the series may return. Also, the creator of the series Busisiwe Ntintili has another new TV show called "Intersexions" and a big movie "Happiness is a four-letter word".
The first season of the series ends with the disqualification of the teenage squad during the final rounds. It probably means that the team needs to compete in Joburg in their next competition. So right now, we are just waiting for an update from the crew that confirms its renewal. Even so, If the show gets to come back, the production will take time, and we'll have to wait for Netflix's update. If everything works just fine, we can expect the series' comeback sometime in 2024.
'Jiva!' season 1 follows Ntombi's story from a struggling teenager to a highly-skilled dancer taking part in a major league dance contest. She is only one step away from achieving her dreams in life. Ntombi's family and friends were also focused and determined. Following the story, we also learned the biggest problems and challenges that she faced whilst taking steps to success. Ntombi's contenders were motivated in pulling her down, trying their best to see her fail.
The upcoming season of the series will perhaps explain this idea further into five more episodes of inspiring and exciting drama. As the Trollies move to Joburg for the next competition, pressure will surely take in Ntombi's place. Everyone is hoping she's going to make it.
If the show gets renewed for a second season, we expect the following characters to return.
Noxolo Dlamini - will come back as the lead character Ntombi, a girl who dedicates his life to dancing. Her only goal is to be the best and make it big to climb out of poverty.
Candice Modiselle- will also likely come back as Vuyiswa, a talented dancer in the Trollies.
Sne Mbatha is also likely to reprise her role as Zinhle, the third member of the Trollies, with Stella Dlangala as Lady E, Tony Kgroge as Bra Zo, and Zazi Kunene as Nolwazi, among others.
