Melissa Rosenberg is finally bringing back 'Jessica Jones' for the third and final season. The beautiful face of Krysten Ritter is returning to Netflix, and the streaming giant has confirmed that the third one will be the last. The first season was a massive hit back in 2016, however, season 2 didn't perform well. But fans hope that season 3 will be a good investment as they will see a great return to the Jessica they loved in season one. 



 

Jessica was a member of The Defenders and is the last Defender left after all the recent cancellations for the Marvel shows. After she freed herself from the captive of Kilgrave, Jones decided to become a Private Investigator. Fans love the grumpy woman she is as they know, even after being an alcoholic, she can easily throw 300-pound men across the room with just one hand. No one would want to mess with her. When Is 'Jessica Jones' Season 3 Releasing? 

According to Netflix via the See What's Next Twitter account, the third season will be released on 14th June 2019. The streaming service also released some images and other information about the third season. "Jessica and Trish team up to take down a highly intelligent psychopath,” the synopsis reads, “but a devastating loss reveals their conflicting ideas of heroism and sets them on a collision course that will forever change them both.” 



 

The filming on Jessica Jones Season 3 concluded some months ago, as the lead actress Krysten Ritter shared a photo on her Instagram with the casts finale table read for the series finale. The status of the third installment is in post-production, which means that the effects for sounds and visuals will now be added. The cast has been promoting the upcoming final season too. 



 

What To Expect From 'Jessica Jones' Season 3?

Those who have watched season 2 would know that Jessica was trying to help her long-lost mother Alisa Jones. After Alisa was found surrounded by a trail of destruction and dead bodies because of which she was forced to go on the run. The finale concluded with Alisa getting shot and killed by Jessica's best friend in the head. 



 

Fans can see a new villain in season 3, especially after the friendship between Jessica and Trish got ruined. Going with what was in the comics, 'Patsy Walker' the character that Trish is based on becomes the superhero Hellcat. Therefore, we can expect Hellcat to be introduced as a villain and later becoming a hero. The third and final season will feature Jessica being devastated with her mother's death, and the remainings of Kilgrave may weave its way into the head of Jessica once again.

The entire core cast is most likely to return for the third installment, that includes, Jessica Jones, played by Krysten Ritter, Trish Walker played by Rachael Taylor, Malcolm Ducasse played by Eka Darville, Jeri Hogarth played by Carrie-Ann Moss, and Oscar Arocho played by J.R Ramirez.

On the other hand, the new cast includes Char played by Rachel McKeon, Carmen played by Cyndi Melendez and Andrew Brandt by Matt Weis. 

What Could Be The Plot Of 'Jessica Jones' Season 3?

Going with the teaser that was released, fans got the first look at the show's villain. During Netflix's press release, it was released that Jessica and her sister Trish might have to put their differences aside to knock the villain down. "When Jessica crosses paths with a highly intelligent psychopath, she and Trish must repair their fractured relationship and team up to take him down," the official synopsis reads. "But a devastating loss reveals their conflicting ideas of heroism and sets them on a collision course that will forever change them both.”
