J.K. Rowling Is Releasing Four New Harry Potter Stories Next Month

J.K. Rowling has announced that four new Harry Potter stories will be released next month and we can't even hold in our excitement.

Just when we thought J.K. Rowling was about to put the Harry Potter stories to rest she came out of nowhere and surprised with some amazing news. She won't just be releasing one new Harry Potter story but four. And what makes this announcement even juicier is that we don't have to wait very long to read the new stories as they are expected to drop on Pottermore on June 27th.

The new stories will be based on the audiobook "Harry Potter – A History of Magic" and will go deeper into the world of magic in a more colorful and creative way.

The stories are being described as "bitesize" and will explore popular lessons from Hogwarts such as Charms, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Potions, Herbology, Divination, Astronomy, and Care of Magical Creatures. According to Pottermore, the stories will "Take you back in time once again to learn about the traditional folklore and magic at the heart of the Harry Potter stories."

The Website goes on to say:

Prepare to delve deeper into the rich history of magic (be it our own Muggle history, or the magical world created by J.K. Rowling) with this new series of eBook shorts, inspired by the British Library exhibition and its companion books, Harry Potter: A History of Magic.

The stories will be called: Harry Potter: A Journey Through Charms and Defence Against the Dark Arts, Harry Potter: A Journey Through Potions and Herbology, Harry Potter: A Journey Through Divination and Astronomy, and Harry Potter: A Journey Through Care of Magical Creatures.

This is amazing news for all Harry Potter fans as it has been almost 12 years since the last Harry Potter book came out. Sadly, we won't be seeing Harry, Ron, and Hermione in these new stories. The new stories will be to teach readers about the traditional folklore and magic that made the Wizarding world possible. It will in no doubt inform the Harry Potter stories but not continue their stories in any way.

The first two stories will be released on June 27th and the others will be released sometime after. You can pre-order the stories here.
