Before we get into this article I must warn you that there are spoilers ahead. If you have yet to see the Game Of Thrones season 8 episode 5 I recommend not reading any further.
The fifth episode of Game Of Thrones season 8 was filled with more character deaths than any other episode in the season. But there is a possibility that not everyone who "died" actually died.
During Daenerys Targaryen's mad queen antics that saw Kings Landing burnt to the ground, Cersei and her brother Jaime supposedly died after the building collapsed on them. It wasn't the ending that many envisioned for Cersei and left a lot of people disappointed. But did we actually see her die? No, we didn't. We just saw a bunch of rubble falling on to her. Rubble is pretty malicious but we did see Arya get hit with Rubble and still survive.
I think Jaime, for the love of his sister, will take the majority of the impact and die on top of her in an attempt to save her and the baby. Jaime was already dying and protecting his beloved sister and the baby before biting the bullet would be a hero's death for him. I am probably more than 90% certain that in the final episode we will see Cersei crawling out from under her dead brother in the rubble of King's Landing. She might even escape the wrath of Daenerys and manage to run away to a faraway land and start a new life with her baby. We may even get a spinoff featuring the child.
I don't know for sure what is going to happen but if Cersei is actually dead it would be very unlike most deaths in the series. Most deaths are always sure and certain and we actually see them die. Like, when Varys died we actually saw a glimpse of his charred skin and when Missandei died we saw her head fall to the ground. Game Of Thrones never really leaves us unsure if someone is dead or not, at least most of the time. So Cersei's death being so unclear and unceremonially could mean that she is still breathing.
I'm not the only one with this sentiment as fans took to Twitter to discuss the situation:
Y'all really gon' be pissed when Cersei gets out of that rubble and moves far away where she'll raise her baby and open a farmer's market.— The Big Bag Wolf (@KidFury) May 13, 2019
But, there is also the prophecy that Cersei would die at the hands of the “little brother,” who would choke the life out of her. Many thought it would be Jaime but he is clearly in no shape to choke anyone to death. Many thought it would be Arya, wearing Jaime's face but with Arya off to the wind, it's highly unlikely now. Unless Cersei escapes into the forest and happens upon Arya Stark.
What about the valonqar?— @fractalclues (@fractalclues) May 13, 2019
I am assuming Jamie & Cersei are dead, but if they're doing the valonqar prophecy, maybe they're not.
"...the valonqar shall wrap his hands about your pale white throat and choke the life from you."

I need actual proof Cersei is dead.— 🌬Tyn Targaryen 🌨 (@tyn_101) May 13, 2019
Not accepting this ‘death report’ without proof. Cuz if Arya could survive rocks and smoke and fire and being trampled Cersei could damn well survive a few pebbles. #GameOfThrones
So, what do you think? Do you think Cersei's still alive?
