'Into the Night' is among the list of Netflix titles that people consider as gems. The series was written and made by Jason George, who also works as the executive producer for the show. George works with D.J Talbot, Tomek Baginski, and Jacek Dukaj. 'Into The Night' was inspired by the 2015 Polish sci-fi novel 'The Old Axolotl' written by Jacek Dujaj himself. The series made history as it is the first Belgian original series streaming on Netflix.
The first season of 'Into The Night' premiered on May 1, 2020. It caught the audience's attention. However, the series ended on several cliffhangers, making them want more. Netflix heard fans' requests and renewed the show for a second season. The series' second season was a total success, creating millions of new fans and receiving a thumbs up in reviews from fans. Netflix, on the other hand, has not confirmed 'Into the Night' season 3 yet. The second season of the series arrived on the platform on September 8, 2021. We know that Netflix usually takes its time to evaluate viewership numbers, so a slight delay on the renewal is already expected. In terms of plot, the second season ended in a cliffhanger, which is a great sign that the story will continue for another season.
While waiting for more details, you might be interested to know that 'Into the Night' has a Turkish language submarine-set spin-off. The spin-off is titled 'Into the Deep' and was released on July 31st, 2022.

In the previous season, survivors seek refuge in a Nato bunker. They feared the deadly rays of the sun. The survivors allied with the military personnel in the bunker to solve a brewing conflict and other problems such as the slowly diminishing supplies.
Before season 2 ended, the series talked about a rat that survived the sunlight. Horst and Laura have been releasing the rats since the first season to see if they could survive the sun. The rat that survived was covered with a frozen tin vessel. Hence, they speculate that like water, ice can protect against the deadly rays of the sun. The quest for survival will continue should the series get renewed to season 3.
