The International House of Pancakes have now become haunted and introducing its new Addams Family inspired menu.
The Addams Family is spooky, creepy, and resonates the Halloween theme so well that nobody has ever come close. The International House of Pancakes has unveiled its Addams Family themed restaurant menu. It looks like the restaurant chain is gearing up for Halloween with new treats inspired by the creepy and kooky T.V. family and starting from now, breakfast fans can indulge in iconic IHOP foods with a fun Addams Family twist. The spooky spread includes Wednesday’s Web Cakes, Gomez’s Green Chile Omelet, the Kooky Kids Combo, Uncle Fester’s Chocolate Ice Scream Shake and Morticia’s Haunted Hot Chocolate.
In order to kick things off for their latest menu, the chain even released a new advertising campaign featuring the characters from the film. Apart from the spooky new treats, the restaurant also announced it's reviving the popular "Kids Eat Free" promotion now through November 3rd. From 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., kids can eat free with the purchase of one adult entree.
IHOP marketing chief Alisa Gmelich, in a conversation with Bustle, said, "Halloween, and the months leading up to it, are filled with such unadulterated fun for families, so it made perfect sense for IHOP to get in on the action. The quirkiness of The Addams Family matches our own playfulness as a brand, so a partnership with MGM felt like a great fit.”
The Addams Family movie is described to be a tight-knit group of people, who clearly care about one another, but they lack the same kind of charm and generosity featured in the original 1964 TV series. There have been in three movies till date and they released in 1991, 1993, and 1998. The synopsis of the first movie reads, "When a man (Christopher Lloyd) claiming to be Fester, the missing brother of Gomez Addams (Raul Julia), arrives at the Addams' home, the family is thrilled. However, Morticia (Anjelica Huston) begins to suspect the man is a fraud since he cannot recall details of Fester's life. With the help of lawyer Tully Alford (Dan Hedaya), Fester manages to get the Addams clan evicted from their home. Gomez realizes the two men are conspiring to swindle the Addams fortune and that he must challenge Fester."
The latest Addams Family Animated Movie released in 2019 and it did pretty well but didn't quite have the charm if the previous live-action ones.
