The show was recently greenlit for a third season, after two critically acclaimed seasons with 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.
There are some sketch comedy shows that really make their mark. One of them was Saturday Night Live (SNL), which gave I Think You Should Leave’s star Tim Robinson a shot at his critically acclaimed Netflix career.
The episode generally follows a person who goes around making people feel uncomfortable with their social incapabilities and incite second-hand embarrassment in audiences as they continue to watch the train wreck. This discomfort-inducing character (generally played by Robinson) is paired with characters played by famous comedy actors like Bob Odenkirk, Andy Samberg, etc.
We don’t mean to make this awkward… but Netflix’s sidesplitting comedy series "I Think You Should Leave With Tim Robinson" walks off with the Outstanding Achievement In Variety, Talk or Sketch. #IThinkYouShouldLeave #ITYSL #TimRobinson @Netflix— The TCA (@OfficialTCA) August 6, 2022

It is a pleasure to confirm that, yes! The show will be returning for a third season after Netflix confirmed the news back in May of 2022. Generally, Netflix shows take a while to gain confirmation, so even though the second season came out in July of 2021, it took almost a year for the third season to be confirmed.

As mentioned above, every episode has a different plot following the main character played by Tim Robinson. Following in the vein of SNL, the actors portray absurd characters that stretch the boundaries of the humor in the scene.
Robinson’s work in Detroiters and SNL gave him the skills to push this sketch comedy show high enough to gain a 100% Rotten Tomatoes score.

The show generally features acclaimed comedy and dramatic actors who are in for making short 17-minute sketch episodes. The first season featured Vanessa Bayer (Trainwreck), Cecily Strong (Ghostbusters), and Will Forte (The Last Man on Earth). The Walking Dead star Steven Yeun and Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s Andy Samberg also made an appearance.
Season 2 newcomers include John Early (Search Party), Paul Walter Hauser (Cruella), and another SNL alum Bob Odenkirk (Breaking Bad). Patti Harrison (Shrill) and Sam Richardson also decided to make an appearance. For all we know, some of these cast members may be coming back to the show along with some newcomers including Aidy Bryant whose husband Connor O’Malley was a cast member on the second season.

While Netflix has only just confirmed that there would be a third season, writing was rumored to have started in March of 2022. Since the second season was delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic, it is unclear what the timeline for the production looks like. Filming for the show hasn’t yet begun. However, when it does, fans can expect some news from Netflix.
