Hugh Jackman Finally Shares His Wolverine Workout Routine

Hugh Jackman shares how he was able to get super jacked for his role as Wolverine.

In the glory days of the X-Men movie franchise, Hugh Jackman stood out as the jackest man in Marvel. To this day, I don't think any of the heroes in the MCU can hold a candle next to Hugh JACKman's wolverine.

What was Hugh Jackman's secret for becoming so jacked? The actor explains in a recent interview with Dr. Peter Attia how he was able to not only get jacked but keep gaining muscle with each movie.

He told the interviewer that his trainer invited a bodybuilder to join them in workout sessions. The bodybuilder advised Jackman that to build muscle you must start with lighter weights and increase over time to prepare your body.

Jackman stated that to this day he uses what he learned from the bodybuilder in all his workout plans.

Jackman said. 

He starts super light on everything and builds up like it’s fun.
[It’s] a great thing I learned from him that I use to this day. By the time you’re doing your third or fourth set, you actually really want to lift because your body has gotten used to it.

So, is this the magic formula to getting jacked like Jackman? Well, obviously there is more to it than that. A proper diet is also a huge part of musclebuilding. Maybe one day we can also get Jackman to go into detail about what his meal plan was.

Studies have found that starting light can prepare your body for lifting heavy and should be incorporated into your workouts.
