History repeats itself as lead actors of the Spiderman franchise end up dating, with Tom and Zendaya being the third pair.

Tom Holland and Zendaya are in a relationship and we couldn't be happier for them. They're incredibly cute and adorable together. The pair (all but) confirmed their romance last month but the internet's always known because she's always laughing at his jokes, a little too hard maybe, and no one's THAT funny. Jokes aside, the couple have always been cagey about their dynamic leaving ample room for speculation, and speculate the world did until a paparazzo sneaked a picture of them kissing in Los Angeles over the summer. While everyone's rushing to put labels on the lead pair of Spiderman, it's their slow-burn relationship that has us in awe.

While they didn't exactly want to share their personal life, their journey is an inspiring one. Not just in terms of love, but also the kind of friendship they share. The duo has often cited each other as a huge source of support and inspiration. While there's no knowing when the two started dating, it just goes to show that one can build a solid foundation of friendship before taking things romantic, which appears to be the case for Holland and Zendaya. When they started out, he was relatively unknown while she was a former Disney girl with many movies and television shows under her belt.

Tom: Zendaya is kind of like the perfect person
Tom Holland revealed she was instrumental in guiding him past the initial pitfalls of fame. “She was so helpful in the process of my life-changing because not only are you making big films and you’re traveling the world, but everyone starts to know who you are,” Tom told Backstage. "Having her in my life was so instrumental to my sanity, She is so good at being the role model for young guys and girls." He described Zendaya as 'kind of like the perfect person.'

“This isn’t my story. It’s our story."
He also touched upon their relationship dynamic and loss of privacy. “One of the downsides of our fame is that privacy isn’t really in our control anymore, and a moment that you think is between two people that love each other very much is now a moment that is shared with the entire world,” he said. In an interview with GQ, Tom Holland said there was no need to respond to speculation and confirm their relationship because it was personal to both of them. Zendaya also chimed in on the discussion saying, “When yovu really love and care about somebody, some moments or things, you wish were your own.” Holland also added that it wasn't right for him to discuss their dynamic without her. “This isn’t my story. It’s our story,” he said.

It's refreshing to see someone treat their partner with such respect. They have long shared mutual respect and admiration for each other. “Anything that I learned or have learned or continue to learn I share with him and anything he learns, he shares with me,” said Zendaya, reported Elle. History was always rooting for them getting together, considering the previous two sets of lead actors on the Spiderman franchise dated as well. Irrespective of the labels we might want to apply to them, Zendaya and Tom appear to be rooted and share an incredibly close bond, and that in itself is something worth celebrating, irrespective of whether they are officially a couple or not.
