Drac and the whole gang must travel to Amazon to reverse a transformation-gone-wrong.
Drac and his pack are coming back in another epic monster adventure! 'Hotel Transylvania: Transformania', the fourth and final installment of the franchise, is coming this September, and it will see the gang traveling to Amazon to try to reverse an accidental transformation.
There will be several changes in the voice cast, but the film promises the same level of fun we've come to love.
Here is everything you need to know about 'Hotel Transylvania: Transformania', including release date, plot, cast, trailer, and more.
'Hotel Transylvania: Transformania' will release in Australia on September 9, 2021, and then in the United States on October 1.
It looks like Sony Pictures will be opting for an exclusive theatrical release and wouldn't simultaneously release the film on streaming platforms.
The trailer has specifically said that the "only place to experience transformania is the movie theaters."
The monsters and the humans are switching places! The genius Van Helsing has invented a "Monsterfication Ray," a technology that will allow humans to become monsters. Johnny successfully transforms into a monster, much to his delight. However, the technology goes haywire and transformed Drac and his monster friends into humans. But while Johnny loved every bit of his new monster identity, Drac isn't particularly excited about becoming an average Joe with no powers.
Johnny, Mavis, Drac, and his new human pack must team up again to find a cure before the transformation becomes permanent. They must travel to the deepest part of the Amazon and revert to their original form. But with the monsters becoming powerless, the quest will not be easy. Expect plenty of troubles and wacky moments with the whole crew on board!
There are some major changes when it comes to the casting. Adam Sandler voiced Drac in the first 3 films and even served as an executive producer on those films. Unfortunately, he will no longer reprise his role. The reason behind the recasting is unknown. Neither Sony nor Adam Sandler has issued a statement why he stepped down. Voice actor and YouTuber Brian Hull has been recast to play the role.
Judging from the trailer, Brian Hull has done an incredible job in impersonating the character. Hopefully, 'Hotel Transylvania' fans will not notice the difference.
The role of Drac's friend, Frankenstein, is also getting recast. Brad Abrell is taking over the role from the previous voice actor Kevin James.
The rest of the characters will return and reprise their roles. They are:
Andy Samberg as Jonathan "Johnny" Loughran
Selena Gomez as Mavis
Kathryn Hahn as Ericka Van Helsing
Steve Buscemi as Wayne
David Spade as Griffin
Keegan-Michael Key as Murray
Asher Blinkoff as Dennis Loughran,
Fran Drescher as Eunice,
