Firefly Lane (Season 1)

The highly-anticipated drama series Firefly Lane is finally here. The story follows two friends, Tully and Kate, who met in 1974 at age 14 and how their friendship unravels through several decades. The cast includes Katherine Heigl, Sarah Chalke, Ben Lawson, Beau Garrett, and Alissa Skovbye. Showrunner Maggie Friedman loved the idea of focussing on female friends and according to TIME spoke to Netflix saying “Your soulmate isn’t necessarily the person you marry or fall in love with,” she said. “Maybe you’ll watch it, and afterward you’ll call your best friend and tell her you love her.” The series is based on the 2008 novel of the same name by Kristin Hannah.

Black Beach (2020)

The action-thriller directed by Esteban Crespo features Raúl Arévalo, Paulina García, Candela Peña, and Claude Musungayi as part of the cast. Black Beach follows a businessman who is recruited to help save a US engineer who has been kidnapped. According to HITC, the movie's sequences were shot in Gran Canaria, one of Spain’s Canary Islands. A number of exterior sequences were shot in the bustling city of Madrid. The cast and crew also filmed in Ghana, West Africa, as well as Brussels, Belgium.
