The Proud Family is back... Louder and prouder! Disney Channel's The Proud Family was one of the most iconic cartoons of the 2000s. Can you believe The Proud Family premiered 18 years ago on Disney Channel? The reboot, Louder and Prouder follows the story of protagonist Penny Proud and her family. The original cast and executive producers will be returning in this reboot.

Disney recently shared a sneak peek to show us what the characters look like in the upcoming reboot. The characters are just slightly older than the last time we saw them. The animation style is still the same, and Penny Proud is now a high school teen. CeCe and BeBe Proud are now 3 years old and just as naughty. Penny's mom Trudy Proud runs her own veterinary clinic, Trudy's Pet Ambulance. Her dad Oscar Proud is finding success with his venture, Proud Snacks. The iconic Suga Mama is back and as opinionated as ever while living life to the fullest.

There's also a new character who goes by the name Maya Leibowitz-Jenkins. She's new in town and doesn't really get along with Penny and her friends at first. The mature activist is the adopted daughter of a mixed-race family who is new to town and she'll be voiced by Keke Palmer, reports Buzzfeed.
