When it comes to shows that do well and are popular, there is a lot of hype around them, prompting more people to watch. But there is always a large section of people who find it hard to join the bandwagon, even though a show may have received rave reviews or accumulated all the awards. It may just not be everyone's cup of tea, and that's okay.

One Reddit user decided to find out what shows people found hard to get through no matter how much they tried. There were a lot of really popular shows people could not get through, and some even shared why.

1. Grey's Anatomy

User BratS94 stated, "I can't believe it's gone on for 18 or whatever seasons." Another person explained, "A lot of us who watch it have watched it since childhood and are now stuck because we want to know how it ends." This medical drama has become the longest-running scripted primetime show currently airing on ABC since it started in 2005.

2. Heroes

Heroes is a story about what happens after some ordinary people inexplicably develop superhuman abilities and use them to prevent catastrophes and save humanity from destruction. Pokemamorytrainer clarified, "I made it to season 3, but the show got away from itself. Sad that it peaked in season 1."

3. The Man in the High Castle

I thought the premise was intriguing, but it lost me after a while. I even tried to restart it, nope again. This dystopian alternate history television series is loosely based on Philip K. Dick's novel of the same name. It explores the scenario where the Axis powers won the Second World War.

4. Arrow

Miss_Winky stated: "At some point, it got all weird, like out of sync, and I'd think I missed episodes and these random new characters acting like they'd been in it for ages. It did my head in I had to walk away." Arrow follows the story of a multi-millionaire playboy Oliver Queen who masters the skill of archery on a deserted island before returning to his city to take on the vigilante persona of Arrow to fight crime and corruption.

5. How To Get Away With Murder

Reddit user ambitious-failure said, "Started out so well and then just got confusing. It's like it's trying too hard to keep going, when will it end???? Definitely didn't need to be as long as it is." The show ran for a total of six seasons, following Annalise Keating, a criminal defense lawyer, and professor, who teaches a group of aspiring law students. But their lives alter when they get entangled in an aberrant murder.

6. The Walking Dead

User DEVILDORIGHT posited, "How far can a show about killing zombies go? No matter where the plot with the lead characters goes, they are still trying not to become zombies while killing zombies. IT'S JUST A F****** SNOOZE FEST."

7. The Flash

Kakebaker95 simply stated, "It's boring and slow." This is ironic, considering the premise of the show follows Barry Allen, a forensic investigator who gains the power of superhuman speed after a freak accident. Another user summed it up like this:

8. Supernatural

User Dziugasas777 said, "First few seasons were seriously great, then it started repeating itself with more ridiculous stuff, and when there is like 15 seasons or something, I had to pull the plug." The series portrays brothers Dean and Sam, who follow in their father's footsteps to eliminate monsters, demons, and other supernatural entities that exist on Earth.

9. Suits

"It got boring at season 4, and I don't know why. Just thought it may be focused too much on the drama, instead of the work problems that were what actually got me in the show at the start," stated user HotChilliWithButter. The show follows Mike Ross, a talented young college dropout who gets hired as an associate by Harvey Specter, one of New York's best lawyers. They must handle cases while keeping Mike's qualifications a secret.

10. The Handmaid's Tale

"Heard it was the most amazing show ever," said Organic-Fee1771. "Gave it 4 episodes, and after the second rape scene, I lost all interest. Then I read somewhere about its 4th season being miserable, and how basically nothing in the show moves forward, so I knew then that it wasn't worth sitting through all of that for it to get worse, storytelling-wise." The Handmaid's Tale is a dystopian television series based on the 1985 novel of the same name by Canadian author Margaret Atwood about a patriarchal, totalitarian state known as the Republic of Gilead.
