It is not uncommon for celebrities who look alike to be mistaken for each other. Recently, actor Ryan Reynolds revealed his local pizza place thinks he is Ben Affleck. They even ask him about JLo and Reynolds just goes along with it. This is not an isolated incident for Reynolds who has, in the past, been mistaken for Ryan Gosling as well. There are several other actors who look like they could be siblings if not identical twins.

Another celebrity who was mistaken for a fellow peer is Helen Hunt, known for her work in Twister, What Women Want, and As Good as It Gets. Hunt went to Starbucks for a drink and after ordering her drink, asked the barista if she wanted her name. As a celebrity, it can be a tricky situation to assume everyone knows who you are and you can never be sure if the person knows you. Hunt was playing it safe when she asked the Starbucks employee if she knew who she was. The barista assured her, "winked and said. 'We gotcha.'" But it was actually a case of mistaken identity.

Hunt got her drink and saw that they had written "Jody" on it. The Starbucks employee had mistaken Hunt for her fellow actor, Jodie Foster. But in true Starbucks fashion, they had even managed to spell the name "Jodie" wrong. Hunt, however, took it in good humor and shared a picture of her drink with the wrong name on Twitter. Jodie Foster is best known for her performance in Panic Room, The Silence of the Lambs, and Flightplan. Both of them have been in the industry for over four decades and are just a year apart in age as well.

When Hunt shared the picture on Twitter, Starbucks was quick to respond and stated:

A clever reference to one of her biggest films, a romantic comedy that she won an Oscar as well as a Golden Globes award for. But this was not Hunt's first time being mistaken for Foster either.

Back in 1994, Hunt appeared on Late Show with David Letterman and shared a similar incident about being mistaken for Foster. "My life has changed a little bit," she said on the show. "I’m recognized now for being who I am, rather than: ‘I went to college with you’ or ‘Did you used to date my cousin?’ or ‘Are you Jodie Foster?’ – which I got for a long time." She then recalled an incident at the supermarket when she was spotted by a Jodie Foster fan. "The guy is checking me out, and says, ‘You’re Jodie Foster.’ And I said, ‘I’m actually not, thank you.’ ‘No, you are, I know you’re Jodie Foster.’ ‘I’m begging you, I’m not, I’m really not,'" she told Letterman.

Almost 20 years later, another person at another place mistook her for Foster as well.
