Havoc , the Netflix drama is set to release next year, here's everything we know...
Havoc is an upcoming crime drama that features Tom Hardy in the lead role. The movie is set to be directed by Gareth Evans who is also penning the script. He is known for martial arts films like The Raid, The Raid 2, and Merantau. According to Deadlines, the project has been in development for quite some time now. Here's everything we know about Havoc so far.
The filming is said to have ended in October 2021. The movie was pushed back until 2024. So expect it by mid-2024. We will update the space as soon as we receive any news.
The official plot synopsis via Deadline is as follows..."The story is set after a drug deal gone wrong when a bruised detective must fight his way through a criminal underworld to rescue a politician’s estranged son while unraveling a deep web of corruption and conspiracy that ensnares his entire city. The director told Deadline, "That’s a movie that is definitely a standalone project. There are no current plans for that to become a franchise. I think on a project-by-project basis, if I pitch something and I feel like it has legs, and it could part one of two or three or wherever that’s certainly a conversation to be had."
In an Instagram Post, Evans talked in detail about the project...
"Fully aware of my radio silence regarding Havoc for some time, just wanted to take the opportunity to update you all on the progress of the film has seen a number of questions pop up on a few of my posts lately. We’re still plugging away at it, doing all we can to make the film the best it can be. Part of that involves a small amount of additional photography that we are hoping to shoot soon - we’re almost there - but “almost there” still means it will be some time before the film is complete and ready for release. Apologies that does mean there won’t be any teasers/trailers anytime soon (not until we have the entire film and all its VFX components locked) - hopefully, the film will be completed next summer with materials following sometime Q3/Q4 of next year.

In February of 2021, it was confirmed that Tom Hardy was announced to star in Netflix's new crime drama Havoc. Hardy will be seen in the lead role, a detective named Walker. Forest Whitaker is also said to be joining Hardy in the film. We also have information that Timothy Olyphant will also be starring alongside them in the film. More information is awaited at the moment.
