Has Amber Heard Already Been Removed As Mera In Aquaman 2? Insider Reveals

An inside source has revealed that Amber Heard's scenes in Aquaman 2 have all been cut.

Amber Heard as Mera

Amber Heard has just recently lost in the defamation suit her ex-husband Johnny Depp filed against her. She now owes the Pirates of the Caribbean star over $8 million. It's already been established that she can't afford it but is she now blacklisted by Hollywood?

Well, Amber Heard was set to reappear as Mera in the new Aquaman film. She was already paid for her services and she filmed most of her scenes in London in Fall 2021. So the deal has been done and dusted...or is it?

Reliable inside source KC Walsh has revealed that all of Amber Heard's scenes in Aquaman 2 are set to be deleted following a meeting at Warner Bros. Her character Mera will reportedly die offscreen during childbirth.

During the court trial, Heard said, under oath, that she had already been cut from Aquaman 2 even before the verdict was reached.

It was clear from the first Aquaman movie that Mera was being set up to play a pivotal role in the future of the Aquaman series and in the DCEU in general. If she is indeed killed off then it could be a disappointing development and a disservice to the character. Replacing Amber Heard with a new actress may be a better idea, though more of an expensive alternative. Warner Bros. will indeed have to commission reshoots to tie up any loose ends.

If KC Walsh's claim is true then we can conclude that Warner Bros. believes that Amber Heard's presence in the film could greatly affect its profits. Of course, it would! Amber Heard is now one of the most hated women in Hollywood. Why would you want her attached to any of your projects.

The online petition to have her replaced has already crossed $4.5 million. If she remains in the film it would make a lot of people angry and may lead to international boycotts.

It's only a matter of time before an official announcement is made regarding the fate of Mera in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. The film is set to open on March 17, 2023.
