Will There Be Season 5 Of 'Grown-ish'?

Yes! Black-ish is ending after eight seasons later this year but fans will get season 5 of Grown-ish. Showrunner Zakiyyah Alexander and Courtney Lilly shared, “Francia, Emily, Chloe, Halle, Luka, and Jordan will always be a part of the ‘-ish’ family. This new season isn’t a goodbye, we are just expanding the world; there will always be an open door for them to return. For season five, we’re excited to dive deeper into the storylines of Zoey, Aaron, and Doug in their post-grad adventures and welcome a new dynamic class to Cal-U."

What Will The Plot Of Season 5 Of 'Grown-ish' Be?

The finale of season 4 ended on an emotional note with Zoey and the rest of her college friends who graduate from the California University of Liberal Arts so the new season will follow her life after. “I feel like a lot of these storylines about Zoey, trying to figure out what’s next, has been so resonant, especially now that we’re both seniors,” Shahidi, who’s graduating from Harvard in real life this year, told Essence in January, joking that her character has given her “a great roadmap of what not to do.” “Grown-ish was my first touchpoint with college life before I was sent off. But I really think art started imitating life even more closely in these [more recent] seasons. As much as I’ve grown up and I’ve been balancing a career with school, college is kind of a fake adulthood, and I’m peering over into what real life looks like with no summer breaks.”

Who Will Be Cast In Season 5 Of 'Grown-ish'?

The actors returning include Yara Shahidi (Zoey), Trevor Jackson (Aaron), Diggy Simmons (Doug) as well as a new bunch of incoming students. TVLine reported that six original cast members — Francia Raisa (Ana), Emily Arlook (Nomi), Chloe Bailey (Jazz), Luka Sabbat (Luca), Halle Bailey (Sky), Jordan Buhat (Vivek) — will not be returning for Season 5. Black-ish star Marcus Scribner, who plays Zoey’s younger brother Junior, will join the cast full-time
