The Plot: What Will Happen In 'Girls From Ipanema' Season 3?

Warning: Season 2 spoilers ahead.

If there's one thing that Girls From Ipanema season 2 is clear about, that is that season 3 is going to be intense. Augusto's trial was the highlight of season 2. The testimonies of Malu, Adélia, and Ligia's sister-in-law, Thereza, were ignored by the patriarchal Brazillian court. So despite the girls' sworn statements revealing Augusto beating and raping Ligia before killing her, he managed to get four years on parole and walked free. But justice is served differently. Towards the end of season 2, we saw Augusto's dead body floating in the swimming pool. With Augusto's death, we're expecting Malu and the girls to try their best to clear their names and prove they have nothing to do with the incident. Malu will have to work hard to avoid getting pinned on the murder after her public confrontation with Augusto. Augusto threatened to close her club, to which she replied that she's no longer afraid of him, adding he must be scared of her instead. But then, almost all of the characters involved have motives to kill Augusto. It's up to season 3 to deliver all the dramas and wrap things up in the overarching plot.
