The Mountain’s ‘tiny’ wife has answered the one question everyone seems to be asking.
Throughout his acting career, the actor—real name: Hafáór Júlíus Björnsson—has starred in films such as Operation Ragnarok, Pharaoh’s War, and The Northman.
Still, his most well-known role is perhaps that of Game of Thrones’ Gregor Clegane, also known as “The Mountain.”
The actor is quite tall—6 feet 9 inches, as his moniker in the series suggests.
You might think Björnsson would date someone who is also very tall.
The Icelandic actor, who is married to the comparatively short 5′ 2″ Kelsey Henson, 34, chose to do the exact opposite.
That is a 19-inch disparity in height.
The pair has frequently made jokes about how different they are from one another in this area; Kelsey even claims that they have trouble shooting selfies together.
“Never get fully in the frame together….tall with short people problem,” she wrote alongside one post.
The couple’s disparity in height also presents other challenges at times.
The couple has been using social media to routinely update fans on their everyday lives since getting married in 2018.
Instagram Q&As are fairly common, and the couple has already answered one of the most frequently asked questions.
Given their extreme height differences, many fans have questioned how the couple truly kisses.
Björnsson and his spouse responded to the query in an Instagram post, saying it was a fair one.
“How do you kiss? Do you jump into his arms every time and wrap your legs around his waist? Please post a picture of this impressive action,” someone penned to Henson.
She responded: “Ah, he bends, I tiptoe. Or just say screw it, pick me up!”
The famous pair has experienced heartbreak in their relationship.
The family was completely shocked when their newborn baby, Grace, died at the age of 21 and a half weeks in November 2023.
The actor posted a devastating message on Instagram, saying, “We discovered that her heart had stopped beating after a noticeable decrease in movement.”
“Words cannot describe our pain of this loss or our happiness at being able to spend time with our daughter. She is absolutely beautiful, with blonde lashes and brows and a little smile for mom and dad.
“The love we feel for her is overwhelming. The grief we feel will be with us forever but so will the love.”
