The cast of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is set to have an unscripted reunion to celebrate its 30th anniversary.

Expect to see Will Smith, Tatyana Ali, Karyn Parsons, Joseph Marcell, Maxwell Reid, Alfonso Ribeiro, and even DJ Jazzy Jeff in the HBO Max special.

The much-awaited reunion will happen on September 10, however, fans will have to wait until around Thanksgiving in November to see it.

Marcus Raboy will be directing the special reunion, with Rikki Hughes on board as the showrunner and executive producer. Also, joining them as executive producers under the Westbrook Media banner are Miguel Melendez, Lukas Kaiser, and Brad Haugen, as per Variety.

This isn't the first time for The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air cast to get together after 30 years.

In April this year, the cast also reunited in Will Smith's Snapchat series, Will From Home. During the online reunion, the cast shared some of their best memories with co-star James Avery, who died of complications from heart surgery in 2013 at age 68. Avery played Uncle Phil in the show.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air first aired from September 10, 1990, to May 20, 1996. The hilarious sitcom follows Will Smith, a street-smart teenager who gets sent to live with his rich uncle and aunt in the Bel-Air mansion after running into trouble with the local gang in his town.

Smith's lifestyle often clashes with his affluent relatives' ways, thus begin an epic sitcom that lasted more than six years, spanning six seasons and 148 episodes.

The show is now considered a cult classic, and fans who've missed the sitcom have welcomed the news with enthusiasm.

One fan tweeted: Got a little excited knowing there would be a Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reunion. Gloria Evans (@peppygreen81) caught me attempting the Carlton dance this morning.

Albeit, some fans are sad that Uncle Phil won't be here to join the reunion anymore.

HBO Max has previously revealed that they will become the exclusive streaming platform for every single episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

The episodes are already available on the streaming platform since it launched its services in May 2020.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air TV reunion is just one of the many programs HBO Max has aligned to hopefully gain traction to their streaming service.

Last week, HBO also announced that they would be reuniting the cast of The West Wing for a theatrical staging of the "Hartsfield's Landing" episode. The episode from the show's third season will be shot at the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles in early October.

And to top it all, HBO is also planning an unscripted "Friends" reunion special.

The "Friends" reunion special was originally meant to be part of the service's launch. Unfortunately, it was delayed multiple times due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

HBO's giving us major throwback feels with all their list of reunions lined up.

Fans of the classic 90's shows can binge-watch their favorite episodes in the streaming platform for now while waiting for the reunion specials.
