Free Rein Season 4: Everything We Know So Far

Free Rein Season 4: Everything We Know So Far

Free Rein season 3 is now long gone and the question on everyone's mind is whether we are getting a fourth season or not.

Free Rein has become one of the most popular shows on Netflix. The series was first released in June 2017 and follows LA Teenager Zoe Phillips as she spends the summer on an island off the coast of England. While there she meets a mysterious horse named Raven and they both become close. But, is the series ending at season 3, or are we going to get a fourth season? Let's explore.

Has "Free Rein" Been Renewed For A Fourth Season?

Free Rein cast

Netflix has yet to announce anything regarding Free Rein season 4 which is quite worrying for the hardcore fans out there. However, given that the show is among the most popular teen-drama series on Netflix we wouldn't expect the streaming giant to give up on it so quickly. The show still commands quite a following and the story has room to progress.

At the end of season 3, Gaby submitted a video of Zoe riding to a school in Florida and now they want her to audition. If the audition goes well then she will have to leave her friends behind. This definitely warrants a new season.

There is no official word but there is a likelihood that it may have been canceled behind closed doors. A picture on Twitter shows one of the stars responding to a fan saying that they are not making any new seasons. So it could be only a matter of time before the word of the cancelation becomes public. But we can't verify the authenticity of the tweet.

When Is The Possible Release Date Of Free Rein Season 4?

Netflix

There was a rumor going around the web that the fourth season will be released in June 2020. But this is only a rumor and should be taken with a grain of salt considering that no announcement was formerly made regarding renewal or release. Netflix has been exceptionally quiet about the future of the show.

The show has so far maintained a pretty good release schedule. The first season was released on 23 June 2017, the second season on 06 July 2018, and the third season came out on 06 July 2019. So a June 2020 release seems reasonable but let's not forget that the world is currently in the middle of a pandemic. The pandemic, however, didn't stop shows like Dead to Me Season 2 or After Life Season 2 from being released. And if Free Rein Season 4 had to be wrapped up before June then we can probably expect that filming is long concluded.
