At the moment there is no official announcement regarding a delay due to the COVID-19 situation. However, it's likely that the release date will not hold up as theaters are not expected to open in July on a global scale. We will just have to wait and see. What Is The Plot Of Free Guy?

Free Guy is set in the crazy open-world video game Free City that is a combination of both Grand Theft Auto and Fortnite. We follow a bank teller named Guy who is a non-player character. But, Guy soon realizes that he is part of a video game after programmers Milly and Keys insert a new code to make him aware. He then sets out to become the hero before the developers shout the game down.

Who Is In The Cast Of Free Guy? 



 

Ryan Reynolds tops the cast sheet as Guy. Then we have Killing Eve star, Jodie Comer as Programmer Milly and Stranger Things actor Joe Keery as her colleague Keys. Then we have Taika Waititi playing their zany boss.

Other members of the cast include Lil Rey Howery, Utkarsh Ambudkar, and Camille Kostek with cameos from popular video game streamers Jacksepticeye, Ninja, Pokimane, and LazarBeam.

Free Guy is being directed by Shawn Levy. His previous directing credits include Big Fat Liar, Cheaper by the Dozen and the Night at the Museum series. He also is the executive producer for Netflix's Stranger Things and has directed two episodes in each of the show's three seasons.
