'Fear Street' Trilogy Release Dates: When Are The Films Coming To Netflix?

The three films are now set for a July 2021 premiere and will be released just a week apart. Here are the official premiere schedules for the 'Fear Street' Trilogy.

'Fear Street: 1994' (Part One) – July 2, 2021
'Fear Street: 1978' (Part Two) – July 9, 2021
'Fear Street: 1666' (Part Three) – July 16, 2021

“We filmed all three Fear Street movies over one crazy, bloody summer. It’s a dream that audiences now get to experience the story in the same way — back to back to back, with only a week of waiting in between,” Janiak told Netflix. “I can’t wait to welcome everyone into the world of Fear Street in 1994, 1978, and 1966!”

Before Netflix secured a first-look deal with Chernin Entertainment, the first 'Fear Street' movie was supposed to be released in theaters in June 2020 to be distributed by 20th Century Studios. However, the Coronavirus pandemic delayed the release until Chernin Entertainment decided to scrap the deal with 20th Century Studios and sign an agreement with Netflix instead.

What Is The Plot Of The 'Fear Street' Trilogy?

The three films are set in different timelines and will feature different, albeit connected, plots.

Fans can expect an even more petrifying take on the classic horror novels where the show is based. Even the author himself said there were more scares and screams than he expected.

“I have seen Leigh Janiak’s epic trilogy releasing on Netflix in July, and I can tell you the scares and the SCREAMS are more than I ever expected,” author Stine told Netflix. “What fun to see the horrors of Shadyside come to life!”

The first film takes place in the town of Shadyside, Ohio, where horrifying events have transpired for centuries since the days it served as a colonial settlement. In 1994, a group of teenagers found out that the events might be linked to each other, and they could be the next targets.

The second film happens at Camp Nightwing in the summer of 1978. Campers, counselors, and staff of Sunnyvale and Shadyside must join forces after the horrors from their town's history come alive and create chaos in the camp.

The third film will explore the origin of the curse and will serve as the conclusion to the narrative. In the year 1666, a small colonial settlement is affected by brutal witch-hunts, which brought damning consequences on the place for years to come. Flash forward to the year 1994, a group of teenagers rushes against time to save the town by destroying the curse forever.
