When Will 'Fatherhood' Release?

Release Date: June 18, 2021

Kevin Hart's upcoming film is set for release two days before Fathers' Day, 18 June 2021.
'Fatherhood' is already one year delayed from its original release date. It was supposed to come out on April 3, 2020, but the schedules shuffled several times until Netflix acquired the film.
Sony decided to ditch the theaters and negotiated a deal with Netflix to release the film due to the Covid-19 lockdowns that shut down most theaters in the US.

What Is The Plot Of 'Fatherhood'?

The movie's plot sounds truly tear-jerking, but we are expecting Kevin Hart to put a lighter tone to it. 'Fatherhood' is based on Matthew Logelin's 2011 memoir, 'Two Kisses for Maddy: A Memoir of Loss & Love.' The memoir depicts Matthew's life as a solo parent, following the tragic and untimely death of his wife Liz, who died a day after giving birth to Maddy.

The film will follow Matthew's journey as he tries his best to raise Maddy, all while dealing with the grief after losing the love of his life.

The trailer for the series has already released, revealing Matthew reaching out to his friends during the lowest points of his life. However, the dark clouds won't seem to disappear no matter how much he tries. Matthew moves to Minnesota in an attempt to start a new life. He eventually finds someone who could open his heart back to love.

'Fatherhood' portrays the everyday challenges of raising a child, including the restless nights and even the mundane everyday tasks that could be too complicated and difficult for first-time parents.
