Unfortunately, on November 1, Netflix decided to cancel the show. This means the fans will never get a proper ending. We actually thought that new episodes will come in late 2023 or early next year. However, Netflix has proven us wrong, sorry.
Well, this is our guess, and it will only become a reality if a fan petition miraculously saves the day by reversing the cancellation. So after fighting the blood witches, the fairies of the Winx are dealing with their individual aftermath. Bloom goes to the Realm of Darkness in order to close the portal that had been opened by Sebastian. She thinks she can close the Dragon Flame power on the other side but ends up locking herself in the process. Speaking to Express, actress Chavez explained: "What I'm thinking is that Flora is very much a people person, and she loves to help out in every way that she can. And I think in this next season, we're going to see her needing help and asking for help and getting vulnerable.
"I feel like she is going to hide it for a while, and it's going to slowly build up as she bottles it in, so I think we're going to see some of that."
If the show had been renewed for a third season, we would have definitely seen these faces once again,
Abigail Cowen as Bloom, Hannah van der Westhuysen as Stella, Precious Mustapha as Aisha, Eliot Salt as Terra, Elisha Applebaum as Musa, and Paulina Chávez as Flora. There's also Robert James-Collier as Saul Silva, Danny Griffin as Sky, Freddie Thorp as Riven, and Leah Minto as Kat. "That’s going to be the mystery of season three," showrunner Brian Young told TVLine before learning of the cancellation. "That will be a fun piece of casting that we’ll get to have. Silva’s already still there, but he’s a specialist, and we probably need a fairy for our fairy school. That’ll be a question mark for us moving forward."
