The Fantasy Island movie starring Lucy Hale is almost here and here's everything we know about it so far.
Fantasy Island is the upcoming horror film from the studio Blumhouse. It's going to be just another horror from the famed horror studio well-known for films like Happy Death Day and Black Christmas. But can we expect Fantasy Island to gross big in the box office or is it going to be a horrific flop? Well, only time will tell. Here's everything we know so far about Fantasy Island.
Fantasy Island is expected to hit theaters on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2020. It was initially scheduled to be released on February 28th but was then moved up to an earlier release.
The film is being developed by Blumhouse and Sony and Principal photography began in January 2019 in Fiji with reshoots in July 2019.
The Fantasy Island movie is based on the ABC television series of the same name that aired from 1977-1984. Both the movie and the series are about a Tropical Island that makes all the fantasies of their guests come through. It is run by a mysterious Mr. Roarke. However, the dreams and fantasies of the guests quickly turn to nightmares and in order to escape, they have to solve the island's mysteries. The film is a PG-13 horror and may not be as dark as one would expect but it still sounds like a good time.
The main star of the film is Lucy Hale who has really extended her career into the realm of horror. First with Truth or Dare and now this. Other stars in the film are Maggie Q, Michael Peña, Portia Doubleday, Jimmy O. Yang, Austin Stowell, Ryan Hansen, and Michael Rooker. The film is directed and partly written by Kickass 2 director Jeff Wadlow. Truth or Dar writers Chris Roach and Jillian Jacobs also worked on the script.
