Here is every detail we know and sharing with you regarding the third season of Drake's UK TV show Top Boys' third season.
Top Boy is a Netflix Original series that was created by Ronan Bennett. It originally aired on Channel 4 but after only two seasons and eight episodes, it was canceled. Later on, Drake along with Future the Prince swooped in to save the day as they fell in love with the show with Drake having offered to fund a third series back in 2015. Both the rappers, along with Netflix, helped revive the series again and made Ronan Bennett as the writer of the series. They also brought back the team that worked on the original two seasons. Drake and Future the Prince now serve as executive producers of the series. With its release right around the corner, here is everything you need to know about the third season.
The official synopsis of the show, released by Netflix reads, "The new episodes pick up as Dushane returns from exile to his home in London to reclaim his throne in the highly lucrative drug market. He teams up with Sully, his spiritual brother, partner and sometime rival who is also returning to the same streets after his own form of exile – prison – comes to an end. Awaiting them both is Jamie, the young, hungry and ruthless gang leader whose ambitions leave no place for Dushane and Sully."
Not exactly, the show has been revived by Drake and Future the Prince. Rebooted suggests the entire story of the first two seasons has been scrapped, which simply isn’t the case.
The cast for the third season includes Ashley Walters, Ashley Thomas, Kane Robinson, Little Simz, David Omoregie, Michael Ward, Rhoda Ofori-Attah, Saffron Hocking, Shone Romulus, Kola Bokinni, and Kadeem Ramsay.
The next season of Top Boy will be arriving with 10 brand new episodes. Given the fact that the previous two seasons only had 4 episodes each, this is a huge development.
Each episode will have an approximate run time of an hour.
The first two seasons were not shot in 4K but it is extremely likely that the third season is. If that is the case, we can actually watch it in 4K.
Netflix has already dropped a trailer for the third season of the show on August 27 and you can watch it here.
The streaming giant has set a release date of September 13 for the show.
Similar to the previous seasons, Top Boy will be available to stream worldwide.

It is not yet confirmed by Netflix if season 3 will be the last, so we’ll assume no for now. We do not know yet if there is going to be a fourth season or not and the future of the show will depend on how the third season performs.
