During a press release, Kate Adler, CBS TV Studios head of comedy described the plot of 'Dead To Me' as "a comedic Big Little Lies." She added, "It was a plot-driven, really dark comedy that was clearly not meant to be on the network, it was clearly destined for premium cable or streaming." The official description from Netflix about the series reads, "A hotheaded widow searching for the hit-and-run driver who mowed down her husband befriends an eccentric optimist who isn't quite what she seems." It remains to be seen which direction season 2 goes, but it will most likely pick up right after where season 1 ended.
