'Rokka no Yuusha' or 'Heroes of the Six Flowers' is a Japanese Light novel that is penned by Ishio Yamagata, and Miyagi handles the illustrations of the manga. Shueisha first published six volumes of the novel in August 2011. The manga series was adapted into a television format and was produced by Passione. Takeo Takahashi directed it, and it aired from July 4 to September 19, 2015, in Japan. When the anime series aired, it was an instant hit among the fans of the manga and the newcomers alike, and since then, fans have demanded a second season. Even though a release date for the show has been teased multiple times since the show has ended, there has been no official confirmation as of now. The show has earned rave reviews from the critics and fans alike, and we are hoping that the show will get a second season pretty soon. The original manga is made up of six volumes. If you have read the entire manga and watched the show, you will know that the show has used the first three volumes. Hence, the fans can be quite sanguine that 'Rokka no Yuusha' will come back for a second season. The title of the show in English translates to Heroes Of The Six Flowers, and the primary plot of the anime follows the events that take place in a fantasy world where the six 'Flowers' fight with demons so that they can protect the planet. To do this difficult task, the Goddess of Fate chose six brave Flowers to rid the world from these perils. Soon enough, the Demon God Majin has woken up, and he sends his monsters to ruin the world. All the six chosen have a painting of flowers to let everyone know that they are sent for the job. But, when all six of them come together, they realize that there are seven of them, and they begin to suspect one of them is an imposter.
