'Code Geass' Season 3: Everything We Know So Far

'Code Geass' or 'Kōdo Giasu: Hangyaku no Rurūshu' is a Japanese mecha anime series produced by Sunrise. Gorō Taniguchi serves as the director of the series, and Ichirō Ōkouchi writes the series. The show is set in an alternate timeline, and it follows the story of the exiled prince Lelouch vi Britannia. After very successful seasons 1 and 2, fans are mainly wondering if there will be a third season ever. In February 2019, Sunrise Studio released a movie called Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection. Season 1 aired back on October 6, 2006, and the second season was released on April 6, 2008. Both seasons 1 and 2 had 25 episodes each, and the anime was huge among anime lovers. Almost all the people who watched the show fell in love with it because of its amazing content and appeal. When Will 'Code Geass' Season 3 Premiere?

Code Geass has not been renewed for season 3. A new series called Code Geass: Z of the Recapture is in production.

It has been more than 15 years since 'Code Geass' premiered. Since the show is top-rated, the demand for a third season persists. But it seems like a third season is not going to happen. The reason is mainly that the show has been on hiatus for more than a decade now, and still, there has been no news for a third season. Having said that, in July 2020, we heard rumors that a new Code Geass Anime project is in development!

Later, it was announced that the new project is a movie titled Code Geass: Z of the Recapture. Although this may not follow the plot of the first and second series, fans can be sure to know their next dose of Code Geass is on its way. What Is The Plot Of 'Code Geass?'

The story's plot is set in an alternate reality where the Holy Empire of Brittania is slowly but steadily becoming a military-dominant nation. They started their conquest in Japan, in a region named area 11. Even after resisting the rule for the longest time, Japan lost the war against the tyrants. The story of the show shifts its focus to Lelouch Lampeouge. He is a former royalty of Britannia who, one day, finds himself in a very dangerous situation between the rebel forces of Area 11 and the oppressors.
