In real life, Eve is almost unrecognizable without the short bob haircut and creme wardrobe. She radiates warmer energy but still every bit as badass as her Netflix character, albeit in a different way.
Let's get to know Eve Hewson more.
Eve is the daughter of U2 frontman Bono, also known as Paul David Hewson, In real life. When she was young, she used to go to her dad's shows.
“Yeah, I was just a little blob, and they just put big earphones on me,” she told NME.
Eve Hewson delivered a chilling performance in 'Behind Her Eyes.' She's got dead icy stares with a pair of piercing blue eyes, giving us a foreboding feeling every time she comes on screen.
When NME asked who was her inspiration behind the character, she said:
“There were a few people that I’ve met in my life, actually! Real people. But also, I’m obsessed with this movie, The Orphan. I watched it years ago in college and was just obsessed with Isabelle Fuhrman’s performance. I kept referencing it when we were shooting, even though everyone was like: ‘I don’t know that movie, what are you talking about.”
Eve has a cat named Luna, and she often deals with her sh**, literally. When she was late for her zoom call interview with The Irish Times, she told the publication that she was cleaning after her pet.
"I was picking up my cat’s sh**, to be honest,” she said. “He does some good sh**, so before I sat down to relax, I had to clean it up.”
Now that's something every fur parent can relate to.
Eve Hewson appeared in a music video with The Script’s song “For the First Time“ in 2010. The music video currently has 56 million views on youtube.
The actress is born Memphis Eve Sunny Day Hewson, but she decided to simplify her name to prevent getting bullied
"My parents knew I'd get bullied, she told WTHR in 2014. "So I just went with Eve."
Eve believes in the importance of education, thinking that luck and talent are not enough to last in the competitive world of entertainment.
She went to New York University's Tisch School of the Arts at 18 years old and graduated with a degree from NYU in 2013.
"I really wanted to study theatre," she said in an interview shared on her website. "I really respect the actors that study and continue to study throughout their careers. I think you can have a lot of talent and luck, but if you're not serious, it's not going to last. Tisch was the only school I wanted to go to. It has a great drama program and obviously, it's in the greatest city in the world. It was also the only school that my parents let me apply to, so if I didn't get in, I was f*cked."

In the 2018 reimagining of 'Robin Hood,' Eve showed her skills in handling another type of weapon. She played a bow and arrow-wielding, badass Marian in the action-adventure film.
Eve Hewson knows exactly what she wants to be in the future. She told The Irish Times that she's planning to get on bigger roles in the industry, one that will allow her to have more creative input and control.
“I don’t think acting will sustain me forever … I’m going back to my control problems. I would love to have more creative input and more say in the things I am making and putting out into the world. It’s difficult being in a position where you don’t have a voice, and you know in your gut people are making bad decisions for you.”
We've already talked about how Eve seems to have a natural skill with weapons, and what most of us don't know is that she also did her stunts in Robin Hood. When asked why doing her stunts and becoming the next Tom Cruise matters to her, she answered:
"It’s important to me because I’m really good at it! It’s this crazy skill I never knew I had. I guess the Irish in me really shines through when I’m fighting. I’ve always been quite physical; I grew up dancing, and I’m not afraid of a scrap, so when you mix the two together, that’s action. I hope I get to do a lot more."
Eve Hewson had no idea what she was about to do when she signed up for her role in 'Behind Her Eyes.' She told Vogue that she wasn't familiar with Sarah Pinborough's novel, where the series is based, and only read the script for the first episode while she was working on another project.
She explained, " I sent in my tape for Behind Her Eyes in the middle of the night, and before I knew it, I was on a plane to London. I got cast really late in the process, so when I read the other scripts, I thought, “Oh, this is what we’re doing? Okay, let’s go!” All I can say is that it’s not exactly the show you think you’re watching at first."
